JoAnn C. Hicks (nee Homa) enjoyed drawing and coloring the beauty of nature, the birds and deer as she had seen them. While they say a picture is worth a thousand words, our memories are priceless. On Saturday January 25th, 2019, in the middle of a winter evening we returned JoAnn to god and nature and turned her over, after 79 years, from time to eternity where she’ll never be too far gone from our memory. Mrs. Hicks was born in Penndel, PA and had been a longtime resident of Burlington Township where she raised her family.
JoAnn was loveable, feisty and witty. She held her faith dear and had reverently prayed the Rosary. Mrs. Hicks was a longtime parishioner of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, St. Paul’s Church in Burlington and retired as a supervisor from JCI Publishing. JoAnn enjoyed spending time in nature, camping and fishing as well as quiet time at home decorating the house, reading or watching Mass on T.V. While our loss is immeasurable, so is the love left behind. Mrs. Hicks is the widow of her late husband Henry J. “Buck”. She is survived by her children; Patrick & his wife Tammy, Kevin, Peter & his fiance Betsy and David Hicks.
JoAnn is the proud grandmother of; Sean & his wife Christine, Bryan & his wife Katherine, Vance Hicks and great grandmother of Jaxson and Bryson Hicks. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her brothers Joseph Homa and Charlie Rose as well as her nieces and nephews and faithful companion Angel. Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to gather with the Hicks family, remember JoAnn and celebrate her life through faith.
