After 52 years of marriage, he passed away on December 9, 2001.
Surviving are her children Richard (Luanne) Smith of Williamsfield, IL, Daniel (Jeanne) Smith of Peoria, Peg (Paul) Gutgesell of Germantown Hills, Cathy (Bill) Palmer of New Castle, WA, Jeanne (Mike) Crotteau of Metamora; daughter-in-law Jeannie H. Smith of Eureka; twenty-six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Gerald Smith, one brother, and two sisters.
