Jody died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Heritage of Bel Air.
Jody was born May 3, 1928, to Wayne and Rose (Vanachec) Venter in Wray, Colorado, shortly after the family moved to Lincoln, NE. In 1936 the family moved to Sioux City, IA where Jody attended school and graduated from Central High School.
In 1946 Jody and Lowell Thoma were married, they had 2 daughters, Cynthia and Debora and a son Brian. They moved from Sioux City to Worthington, MN and in 1965 moved to Norfolk, NE.
Jody was very active in Trinity Episcopal Church, the P.O.K at the church; she served on the Alter Guild for many years. She was in charge of the Cookie Walks at Christmas, was president of the W.O.J.
Jody is survived by her husband Lowell, daughters Cynthia and Ron Franzen of Lindstrom, MN, Debora and Jim Marten of Stanton, Son Brian of Norfolk, grandchildren Scott (Lisa) Mattson and their son Hunter, Stephanie (Al) Hansen, Adam Decker, Samantha Marten and a sister Gerri Broderick of Madison, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
