Joan passed away after a long battle with cancer, March 17, 2009. She was born to Terrance A. and Margaret Carrico Strange. She attended St. John Grade School and St. John High School in Loogootee, Indiana and graduated from Loogootee High School in 1970. She also attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana and graduated in 1975. She worked in the insurance industry in Indianapolis, Indiana and retired in 2007.
Joan is survived by her mother Margaret Strange of Bramble, Indiana, by brother Mark Strange of Montgomery, IN, her personal caregiver her nephew Patrick O’Brien of Indianapolis, IN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Terrance A.
