Joan (Stewart) Fletcher, 92, of Glastonbury and former longtime resident of Cromwell, wife of Jared King Fletcher, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Foxwarren, Manitoba, Canada, she was the daughter of the late John and Iva (MacDonald) Stewart. Joan graduated from Wethersfield High School and was a member of the World War II Cadet Nursing Corps. She married Jared in 1951, and worked for over twenty years at West Hill Convalescent Center in Rocky Hill.
