Joan Russell, 87, of Anderson, passed away on February 6, 2021, at her granddaughter’s home.
She was born June 20, 1933, in Pennington Gap, Virginia, and resided in Anderson most of her life. She retired as a manager with Harvest Supermarkets. She enjoyed reading, game shows, crime shows, but most of all she loved to be with her family.
Joan is survived by her son, Ronald (Julie) Russell; daughter, Sherry (Daryl) Cox; son-in-law, Larry Vores; special friend, Patty Russell; sisters-in-law, Barbara Harber, and Jenean Harber; grandchildren, Joe Vores, Allison (Brian Patterson) Vores, Kiely (Andrew) Barber, Kevin Cox, Jordan Russell, Alex Russell; step-granddaughter, Christi (Eric) Lowe; sisters, Kay (Paul) Helton, and Nancy (Benny) Sergent; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Russell; daughter, Sondra Kay Vores; mother, Viola Mae Harber; father, Vernon Harber; brothers, Bobby Harber, and Don Harber.
