Joan Ruth Hoffmann, 82, of Glen Burnie, passed away on January 10, 2015. Joan was born on December 27, 1932 in New Jersey. She was a very strong woman, who enjoyed working at North Arundel Hospital for over 25 years, serving as a surgical nurse in the Operating Room or managing the Outpatient Surgical Department. Joan enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading, was an avid football fan and followed the Ravens and Orioles.
In her younger years, she was a good dancer and figure roller skater. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Hoffmann. Joan is survived by her son, Paul G. Hoffmann and his wife, Pam, of Altoona, PA and Jo Scarselletta and her husband, Lee, of Severna Park, MD; her grandchildren, Sean and Alex Scarselletta, Jesse Hoffmann and Kira Weigand and her husband Richard; her great-grandchildren, Calli and Cydney Weigand; her brother, John J. Heins, Jr. of Long Island, NY and her nephew, Frank Gorman.
