Joan Perbix, 77, of Petersburg and formerly of Havana, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at St. John’s Hospice in Springfield.
Born in Chicago on January 20, 1936, to Robert and Margaret Griffith Staffelbach, she married James Perbix on August 19, 1956, in Jacksonville.
She is survived by her husband and four sons, Michael (Albina) of Anaheim, CA, Jeffrey (April) of Ft. Myers, FL, Steven (Chris) of Decatur, and Robert (Cindy) of Westchester.
She attended Jacksonville High School and Valparaiso University and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and P.E.O. in Havana.
