Joan Patterson, 89, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Passavant Area Hospital.
She was born September 29, 1929, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Frank and Ruth Porter Wolfe. She married Jack H. Patterson on Feb. 12, 1950, in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2013.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Patterson (Gerry) Hacker of Conifer, CO; son, Larry J. Patterson of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Colin (Claire) Hacker of Denver, CO, and Megan Hacker of St. Louis, MO; sister, Mary Margaret Saunderson of Jacksonville; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Frances Bates; and one brother, John Wolfe.
Joan was a 1947 graduate of Jacksonville High School. She was a member of Central Christian Church, and enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, playing cards and bird watching. Joan was a good listener and a friend to all. She was a loving wife and mother, and was the best Grandma in the world.
