Joan Pricilla Supal was born on February 2, 1952, in Saint Lucia, a small island in the Caribbean. Joan was the second oldest of five children born to the late Joseph and Angela Supal. Growing up Joan endured many obstacles, which included helping raise her younger siblings, Magnus, Leo and Marcel. Her strength and love for Christ and dedication to her family keep her pushing forward.

Joan graduated at the top of her class from Parkinson High School in the Virgin Islands. While there, she was well known for her athletic abilities in track and field. The high jump and 880 relay were her specialties. Joan was once even considered as a candidate for the Olympics. She furthered her education by earning a nursing degree from Jenkins Hoskins Nursing School while still in the Virgin Islands.

In early 1970, Joan relocated to the United States and decided to pursue her education in Cosmetology at Florida Memorial College in Miami, FL. There she met and married her husband, Culham B. Amengor.

Weeping may endure for a night – but joy comes in the morning, and so on July 3, 2016, a voice called. The voice whispered softly, saying; “Patience you are tired, weary and worn, come home to be with your savior.”

Joan left precious memories with three sons, Melvin Supal, Sr., Culham F. Amengor and Brian D. Amengor, Sr.; two brothers, Magnus Supal and Marcel Supal; four grandchildren, Sharniece C. Supal, Shaneeka C. Supal, Melvin S. Supal, Jr., Brian D. Amengor; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
