Joan (Mollica) Bozak, 78, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at New England Home for the Deaf after a brief illness. Born on April 23, 1944; raised in the Bronx for 14 years, she attended JHS 47 for the Deaf in New York City, graduating in 1959.

She attended Stamford High School for three years and lived in Stamford, CT. She worked at Stamford National Bank for 17 years. She moved to Torrington, CT and resided there for 25 years until she moved to the Thompson House, New England Home for the Deaf in Danvers, MA.

She attended training at Helen Keller Institute in Long Island, New York and Gallaudette University in Washington, DC.

She loved knitting, reading spiritual braille books and playing Bingo at NEHD. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church in Peabody, MA. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends very much.

She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Mangiafico) Mollica, the sister of the beloved late Richard A. Mollica and her late son, Christopher Bozak.

She leaves many friends especially J Rod Mcinnis for 75 years, also many relatives especially Edgar “Ed” Mangiafico of Chatham, MA, Nick Wilson of Coituit, MA and Elena Logue of Lynn, MA.
