Joan Meryl Schult, 90, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 18, 2021.
Joan was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Edward and Agnes Hudson. She lived on Long Island for many years before her husband’s job took her to Merritt Island, Florida, and Bowie, Maryland. She and her husband relocated to Florida in 1987.
Prior to retirement, Joan was an administrative assistant for the Prince Georges County Sheriff’s Department. Joan enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, and playing mah jongg.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cortlandt E. Schult, her brother, Edward Hudson, and her sister, Doris Siegmann.
Joan is survived by her three children, Stephen Schult and his wife Susan, Thomas Schult and his wife Becca, and Susan Hull and her husband Doug; grandchildren Krissy, Laura, Sarah, Bobby, Patti, Katie, Kirsten, and Nicki; great-grandchildren Alyssa, Austin, Leo, Chase, and Kinsey, and many more relatives and friends.
