Joan Marie Daniel, 74, of Easton, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 21, 2019 at Gracedale Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late Michel Daniel, who passed away on March 15, 2010. Born in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Tiro (Elias) Symia. Joan was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Joan was a culinary manager for Northampton County for many years and retired many years ago. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Mitch, playing bingo, or spending a day at the casino with her family and friends. She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Easton, where she enjoyed volunteering her time to support her church, also, the St. Theresa Sodality and the Lebanese American Women’s Club. One of her other favorite pastimes through the years was being the biggest fan at all of her grandsons sporting events which made her ever so proud. She will be forever remembered for her culinary expertise and lifelong passion of cooking for her family and friends, but most of all she will be remembered for her love of bringing family and friends together to make memories. Joan’s greatest love was to spend time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, and to bring the family together every Sunday, every holiday, every special occasion or just because. Joan was the epitome of what a true matriarch of the family should be, and she has left a legacy of cherished memories, traditions, and a deep appreciation for the Lebanese heritage within the hearts of her family, friends, and all that knew her. She was a kind and gentle soul who gave her love and undying devotion to all that knew her, and this is what brought her joy and fulfillment in life and peace in death.
SURVIVORS: She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Michel Daniel and his wife Karla of Forks Twp, Anthony Daniel and his wife Regan of Forks Twp.; daughter, Jeanette Daniel and her fiancé Brad Ott of Easton; six grandsons, Daniel, Nicholas, Anthony Jr., Mitch, Blake, and John Allan; brother-in-law Anthony Solomon of RI, 3 brothers-in-law, 3 sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
