Joan Lincoln, 84, of Kalispell, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2007 at her winter residence in Zephyrhills, Florida. She was born on September 28, 1922 in Reading, England to WIlliam Henry and Florence Ann (Wilder) Dawson.
Joan was working in London, England during World War II, where she met her husband and moved to Montana in 1946. Joan raised their children on the family farm and ranch south of Joplin and bought a winter home in the Flathead alley in 1978.
Joan was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. Two of her favorite hobbies were painting and gardening. She was an avid reader, a great conversationalist and will be missed by all who knew her.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Albert a son, Jerome and her brother, Joseph Dawson. She is survived by a daughter: Valerie Gillies, of Havre; a son, Rodney Lincoln of Zephyrhills, Florida, a nephew, David Dawson of Essex, England, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
