BRIGHAM CITY – Joan Lemmon Spencer, 83 passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2016.
Joan was born on June 8, 1933 in Weston, ID a daughter of Vera Thomas and Richard Lemmon.
She grew up in Weston, Idaho and graduated from West Side High School. Joan spent her adult life in Brigham City and referred to Brigham City endearingly as her home.
Joan married Eldron Lewis Spencer on February 29, 1968 in Logan, Utah.
Joan was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission to Tucson, AZ. Her life was a life filled with charity. She often would prepare meals to ailing ward members. She was frugal but generous to those in need. She was the head cook at Maddox Ranch House for 24 years and loved to cook for family and friends.
Family was everything to Joan. A perfect day for her was to enjoy a meal with her family. During the time spent together she wanted to hear the stories of her families lives.
Surviving are her children: Jeff Pitcher (Eileen), Layton, UT; Leslie Maio, Murray, UT; Todd Pitcher (Wendy), West Jordan, UT; Mike Pitcher (Natina), West Valley, UT; Lisa Jensen (Paul), Brigham City, UT; Lance Pitcher (Jackie), Cincinnati, OH; Shawn Pitcher (Sue), Murray, UT; Shane Spencer (Cindy), Perry, UT; Staci Parker (Shane), Brigham City, UT; Robert Spencer (Jenny), Brigham City, UT; Jamie Jo Spencer, Logan, UT. She has 38 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Eldron Spencer, grandchildren, Marcus Riemer, Sarah Lynn Pitcher, Shawn Michael Pitcher, and Mandy Norma Riemer.
