Joan Kidder, 79, of South Bend, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2006, in her home.
She was born on September 22, 1926, in South Bend, to the late Samuel and Madelon (Moore) Bourdon, and was a lifelong area resident. On June 4, 1948, as Joan Bourdon, she married William A. Kidder, who survives.
Along with her husband of 57 years, she is survived by her sister, Betty M. Boggs of South Bend; two sisters-in-law, Midge Bourdon and Ime Bourdon, both of South Bend; and by nieces and nephews from Florida to Alaska. She was preceded in death, along with her parents, by a sister, Alice Horn; three brothers, Jack L., Ralph and Richard Bourdon; and by a brother-in-law, Fred Horn.
Joan was a member of the First Brethren Church of Ardmore and was well known to the Ardmore area for her popcorn balls, which she would make during Halloween time.
