Joan Kay Thompson of Kalamazoo Joan Thompson Preston passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, February 28, 2011 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born on April 22, 1945 along with a twin brother John, the daughter of Harry and Elsie Preston Sergant. Joan loved and lived life to the fullest. She was a loving grandmother, mother, sister, and friend.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Richard Thompson; parents; brothers, Roy, Ray and Jim Preston, and a sister, Mae Preston Henderson. Surviving are three sons, Roy, Gary and Robert Preston all of Kalamazoo; a sister, Betty Morris; a brother, William Sue Preston, brother, John Bonnie Preston all of Kalamazoo and seven grandchildren.
