Joan Elizabeth Hamilton Roach, LaFayette, Ga., was welcomed home by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Joan faced illness and death with much grace and dignity, never losing her sense of humor and most importantly her faith. She will be forever in the hearts of her beloved family and many friends. Joan is survived by her husband, Gregory A. Roach; sons, Brandon C. Staggs and Tanner J. Roach; mother, Joy F. Hamilton; mother and father in-law, Jerry and JoAnn Roach; special aunts and uncles, Carol & Mickey McCamish, Marie F. McMellon, Howard & Pat Franklin, Margaret Hamilton-Hon, brother-in-law Gary (Jill) Roach, niece Whitney Roach, special cousin, Sheila Clark; special friends Laurie & Maggie Schmidt; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many very dear friends. She is also survived by her precious furry angels; Walker, Texas Ranger and Max. Joan was preceded in death by her infant brother Robert Lee Hamilton and grandparents, Howard & Minnie Franklin and C.J. & Pat Hamilton.
