Geringer, Joan
Joan Geringer of Scottsdale, Arizona, died on Monday, April 17, 2017, at the age of 90 after a long battle with lung cancer.
She was born on June 20, 1926, to Charles J. Dannenmueller and Bertha (Miller) Dannenmueller in Kelso, Missouri.
On May 17, 1947, she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Geringer, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and they remained married until his death in 1988.
She worked tirelessly as a homemaker, mother and grandmother, always thinking of her children, family and friends before herself. She was affectionately known as “Granny.”
Joan is survived by her four children, Paula (John) Woodcock of Ballwin, Missouri, Jim (Maureen) Geringer of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Tracey Armstrong of Mesa, Arizona, and Carl Geringer of Honolulu, Hawaii. Joan is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandson, Waylon Jay Holbert, born on the day of her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
