Joan (White) Fortini, age 72, of Norwalk, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Stamford Hospital from a long battle with COPD. Mrs. Fortini was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa, on March 1, 1938, daughter of the late Charles White, and Helen (Urban) White. Joan was a volunteer for The Disabled American Veterans Society.
Mrs. Fortini was pre-deceased by her husband Merico(Jay), daughter Joanne Fortini, and a son, Anthony Steven Pignataro and sister Ann Cappiello.
She is survived by her children, Bruce Richard Woodward, Debra Ann Woodward, Casavecchia , Jody Pignataro, and Donna, Angela, Jacqueline, Marie and James Fortini, as well; a niece and six nephews, and many grandchildren; along with several great-grandchildren.
