Joan Peterson “The life of the Party”, our mom has passed away on Dec. 21, 2012. She was born Nov. 7, 1927 in Salford, England, to Fred and Dorothy Smith.
Mom came to America as a war bride and married our dad. They were married for 49 years. The union brought 5 children; John, Clay, Jeff, Denise and Kim.
Our mom was strong willed, and spoke her mind. We loved her humor, and she was always there for us. She was also a talented seamstress.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, “L”; her children, Clay, Kim and Jeff. She is survived by one son, John Peterson (DeeLaine) and on daughter, Denise Longfellow (Keven); also 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
