Joan Capesius, age 70 of Algona, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society in Algona.
She lived on the family farm until the age of 12. She then became a resident at Woodward Hospital, the Kossuth County Farm, Exceptional Opportunities in Burt, and most recently the Good Samaritan Society in Algona. She loved her family and they were very important to her. Joan loved her Sunday family outings and holiday gatherings. Left to cherish Joan’s memory are her siblings, Nick Capesius of Bode, Margret (Bob) Muller of Victoria, MN, Bill Capesius of Algona, Bob (Carol) Capesius of Bode, Chris Capesius of Algona, Barney (Melissa) Capesius of Ankeny, Ann (Curt) Duffield of Humboldt, Katie (Joe) Schmitt of Fort Atkinson, Richard (Diane) Capesius of Algona and Joe (Brenda) Capesius of Algona along with many nieces and nephews. Joan is preceded in death by her parents, John and Marjorie Capesius, and grandparents, Julius and Mary (Reding) Capesius and Ernest J and Veronica (Dockendorf) Gales.
