Little we knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Joan is survived by her husband Norm, her 3 children; Darlene, Norman and Cookie, grandchildren; Brittany, Ashley, Tiffany, Candice, Jennifer & Michael, great grand-children; Carter, Jordynn, Peyton, Riley, Brooklynn, Nick, Jake and McCartney, In-laws, Alan, Joe, Jamal, Johnnie, Terrain and Karen.
She’s at peace now. Her illness can no longer control her. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. She lived a simple and good life. Some people referred to her as being “high maintenance”, which may be true! She liked things done her way and believed everyone should do things her way (Lol) To those who were fortunate to be loved by her felt truly blessed. Her unwavering faith in people was like having a motivational speaker around all the time! She was a simple woman who gave everything for her family. There was always music playing in the house – mostly Frank Sinatra – so as we celebrate the life she lived with all who knew and loved her, let’s always remember she did it Her Way!
