PROSPECT – Joan (Walsh) Campion, 72, of Blue Trail Drive, died peacefully, Monday, November 17 at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck. She was the widow of Joseph P. Campion, Sr.
Mrs. Campion was born January 9, 1936 in Waterbury, daughter of the late William J. and Josephine (Harmon) Walsh. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School (Class of 1953) and St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing (Class of 1956). She also received a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from UCONN. Joan was a dedicated registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital for many years, where she held various nursing positions.
She is survived by a son, Joseph P. Campion Jr., and his wife Jill of Bethel Park, PA. A daughter Marcia Beltrami and her husband Joseph of Wolcott, CT. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Maura Campion. She also is survived by a sister, Mary Vachon and her husband Robert Vachon of Southington, CT. Three grandchildren Joseph Campion, III, John Campion, and Maura Beltrami. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
