Joan C. Wellington, age 69, formerly of Milford, beloved wife of 47 years to the late Russell Wellington Sr., died Friday, December 11, 2009, at Park West Medical Center, in Knoxville, TN
Born in Bridgeport on December 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Lena Puglia Dellarocco. Joan affectionately know as “Mama Duck” was a long time resident of Milford before moving to Knoxville, TN four years ago.
Survivors include her four children; Russell Wellington Jr. of ME, Richard Wellington of AZ, Ronald Wellington of PA and her devoted daughter Cindy Wellington and her wife Stacey of Milford; 17 grandchildren including James and Jamie Pew of Milford. Joan also leaves two dear friends, Ray and Bonnie Turmel of Knoxville, TN whom she resided with. She was predeceased by a son Robert.
