Joan Boyle, age 80 of Sanford, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at her residence. The daughter of the late Archie and Agnes (Stock) Duso was born in Bay City on January 12, 1933. Joan was a 1951 graduate of nursing school and had been employed with Midland Hospital until her retirement in 1993. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Joan was a member of the Sanford American Legion Auxiliary. On September 11, 1954, in Bay City Joan married Glenn F. Boyle and after 46 years of marriage, he died in 2000.
Surviving are her sons, Raymond Boyle of Texas, Randall Boyle of Indiana, Richard (Ravon) Boyle of Midland, Ronald Boyle of Mt. Pleasant, Ryan Boyle of Midland; grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Adam, Madison, Bailey, Evan, Cassandra, David, and Jody; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Duso of Mio, Lawrence (Kathy) Duso of Ohio; sisters, Marilyn Block of Hudson, Marjorie Beechum of Bay City. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.
