NEW HARTFORD – ROBBINS – Joan B. Robbins, 83, died peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2009 following a brief illness. She was born October 12, 1925 in Caswell, ME; the daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth (Bolstridge) Bassett. Joan was an antique dealer and collector of early American antiques, a violinist, and a designer of early American reproduction houses. She delighted in her family, her garden, and her 18th century home that she and her husband Roy restored in the 1970s. Joan and Roy celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this past summer. Joan leaves her beloved husband, Roy; children, Sheila Robbins of Framingham, MA and Brenda Robbins Wood and her husband Eric of Weston, MA; and grandchildren, Eric Wood and his wife Michele, Michael Wood and his wife Melissa, and Elizabeth Collins and her husband Matthew. She also leaves nine great grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole, Meredith, Monica, Billy and Tommy Collins; Emilie Wood, Mia Senechal and Jack Wood.
