Joan Allday Dolbear, born October 7, 1933, of Jackson, AL, went to be with the Lord after a long struggle with Dementia/Alzheimer’s, while in the Camden Alabama Nursing Facility, on January 13, 2018.  She was born to Charles Wesley and Sarah Alice (Poole) Allday, in Jackson, AL.  She is survived by her Husband of sixty seven years, Mathew Clyde Dolbear; Sisters – Marie Lane of Peoria, AZ; Jeri (Jack) Jarman of Fulton, AL; Children – Pat (Shirley) Dolbear, Brenda Dolbear (Johnnie) Jones and David (Theresa) Dolbear, all of Jackson, AL;  Seven Grandchildren and Sixteen Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Brothers – Wesley Allday, Lamar Allday, and John Allday; Sisters – Christine Allday Blackwell and Mildred Allday Hoven.

Early in her marriage, she worked for Vanity Fair in Jackson.  She was very active in her church.  She sang in the choir, served on a number of committees, and was faithful in Sunday School attendance.  She loved to cook, sew, and crochet.  She loved and adored her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren-their “Nanny Bear.”
