Joan Adele Matin, 87 of La Salle, formerly Wilmette, died peacefully at home at 6:00 PM June 3, 2015.
Joan was born in Chicago on August 10, 1927 to Ike and Edith (Greenwood) Epstein. She married Seymour Matin on February 17, 1952.
Joan worked in retail. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, and loved animals. She was loved and thought of as “Mom” to many.
She is survived by one daughter, Polly Matin of Wilmette; three sons, Marty (Tonya) Matin, Steve Matin and David Matin, all of Arizona; five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; one brother Kenny (Diane) Epstein of Las Vegas.
She was preceded in death by her husband on February 3, 1983.
