Joan A. Reeves, 81 of Milford, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Milford Hospital. Born on August 22, 1929 in Richmond Hill, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret McGovern Reddin. She was the wife of Robert G. Reeves.
Joan worked for many years as a secretary for the American Bosch Corporation in Manhattan, NY, after which she devoted her life to taking care of her husband and family as a caring wife and mother and loving grandmother. She was an active member of the American Diabetes Association as well as a volunteer for the VA Hospital in West Haven. Joan was very proud of receiving her associates degree in psychology from the University of New Haven.
In addition to her beloved husband, Joan is survived by her three children, Linda Knablin and her husband Kevin of Milford, William Reeves and his wife Michele of Greenville, SC and Robert Reeves and his wife Lynette of Plymouth, MN. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
