Jo Helen Wood, 86, of Greenwood, Indiana entered into eternal rest on December 11th, 2019 at Bickford of Greenwood.
Jo Helen was born on November 27th, 1933 in Portland, Tennessee to the late Henry Blankenship and Aulta (Clark) Blankenship. She was a 1952 graduate of Decatur Central High School. On November 30, 1952 she married the love of her life Joe Wood. They were married for 38 years.
Jo Helen was a very dedicated wife and mother. She loved spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Some of her hobbies included watching soap operas and cop shows. She also liked working word search books and sewing.
She was a member of the Southport Church of Christ for many years.
Survivors include her children, Sharon (Bob) Mason of Indianapolis, Karen (Dale) McMillin of Greenwood, Kathy Brittain of Indianapolis, David (Tammy) Wood of Joplin, Missouri, Charles (Hannah) Wood of Indianapolis; sisters, Velma Drake of Carmel, Indiana, Eva Wagner of Greenwood; Grandchildren, Ryan Mason, Aaron Mason, Stacey Frye, Marty McMillin, Shad Brittain, Brandy Barnes, Kathrine Meyers, Justin Wood, Shane Wood, Jordan Wood; and 24 great grandchildren.
Jo Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joe Wood; her brothers, Sidney Blankenship, Jonah Blankenship, Albert Blankenship, Carl Blankenship; and her sister Tennie Blankenship.
