Jo Ann Hamilton Alspaugh, 88, of Middletown, passed away on April 30, 2017 at St Vincent’s Hospital in Anderson.
She was born May 10, 1928, in Anderson, IN to the late Kenneth and Mable Hamilton. Jo Ann graduated from Anderson High School in 1946. On August 6, 1953, she married Wayne Alspaugh in San Clemente, California. Her parents, her husband and her son, Gary, preceded her in death. JoAnn enjoyed her work at Delco Remy for 30 years, retiring in August 1981. She was an active member of the Middletown chapter of Eastern Star. JoAnn loved decorating her home and sewing, making clothes for herself and many family members. She also created miniature clothes for her niece’s Barbie dolls. She enjoyed visits from her brother and sister-in-law.
Survivors include her brother, Jack Hamilton, and a niece; both living in the Avon/Plainfield area.
