Jo-Ann Mignone Dudding, 71 of Milford, loving wife of Joseph Dudding, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 19, 2014, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Jo-Ann was born in New Haven on March 6, 1943, daughter of the late Joseph and Jean (Alfano) Mignone. She graduated in 1962 from St Mary’s High School, New Haven. Jo-Ann retired, after 20 years at the VA Hospital, West Haven, with her last position as Program Assistant in the National Center for PTSD. She taught Cut and Pierce Lamp Shade making and basket making at Milford Adult Education. She is a breast cancer survivor of 17 years and volunteered at Milford Hospital, the Beth El Shelter and knitted “Chemo Caps for Kids”. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all.
In addition to her husband Joseph of 44 years Jo-Ann is survived by her children Randall Dudding and his wife Stephanie of Milford, Ronald Dudding of New York and Danielle Dudding of Milford., beloved grandchildren Brianna and Hailey Dudding. She also leaves a sister, Elene Hanahan and her husband Douglas, sister- in- law Judi McFarren and husband Vern, nephews Rick McFarren and his wife Lori, Mike McFarren and her niece Debbie Flamini and her husband Ralph. As well as two great nephews and a great niece.
