Funeral Services for Jimmy Steven Lumpkin, age 75, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021, will be held Sunday, October 24, 2021, at 2:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.Visitation will be Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sones Chapel Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.Elder Glynn Erwin will officiate the service.A native of McNeill, MS, he was a Mechanic and a member of Love Missionary Baptist Church. Jimmy was a devout Christian, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Dupuy Lumpkin and Doris Leola Smith Lumpkin; brothers, Johnny Wayne Lumpkin and Michael Lumpkin; sister, Ann Mitchell.Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 devoted years, Marie Smith Lumpkin; daughters, Angela Lumpkin and Lisa Marie (Randy) Cuevas; son, Edward Dupuy (Jill) Lumpkin; 4 grandchildren, Dylon (Katherine) Burge, Haylee (Jud) Lucas, Chloe Power, and Caleb Lumpkin; great grandchildren, Kyland, Knox, Karrigan, Asher, and Ezra; sisters, Lavert Penton, Sue (Larry) Fore, Sandra (Robert) Seal; numerous nieces and nephews.
