Jimmy Douglas Ogle

Jimmie Douglas Ogle, 71, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord November 3, 2014.
Jim was born May 10, 1943, at his home in Wheeler Co. Texas, to the late Joseph Monroe Ogle and Laura Mae (Anglin) Ogle. He was a Graduate of West Side High School. He enlisted in the Army in 1963 and served a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1967-1968. He had 1193 hours combat flight time, 34 air medals and 1 Distinguished Flying Cross. He was shot down three times. Jim then came home and worked as an air traffic control specialist at Adams Field Airport in Little Rock, Arkansas during the 1970’s-1980’s. He then became a commercial helicopter pilot and reenlisted in the Army National Guard retiring after acheiving the rank of Chief Warrant Officer W5.
Jim was proceeded in death by his brothers Alton, Ernest, Clifton, Euless “Bill”, Alvin, Marvin “Pete”, Kenneth, and Everett “Pug”. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Mignon and three children Alan Dale Ogle, Wanda Bell, and Carolyn Page and five grandchildren Logan Bell, Taylor Bell, Luke Page, Jeremi Ogle, Aaron Ogle; sisters Helen Ogle, Faye Garrison and brothers Freddie Ogle and Eddie Ogle.
