Jimmy E. Northcutt, age 69, of Peru, formerly of Rensselaer, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Aperion Care Peru. Jimmy was born in Rensselaer, IN on September 14, 1952, the son of Monroe and Geneva (Simpson) Northcutt. Jimmy graduated from Demotte High School with the Class of 1970. He served our country in the US Navy and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Thereafter he was a truck driver and an ordained minister. Jimmy was affiliated with the Southern Baptist Churches. He enjoyed walking and playing pool in his spare time. Jimmy is survived by his children, Thomas Northcutt of Monon, IN and Jessie Northcutt of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Joanna Northcutt and Jameson Cummings; siblings, Sandy Gratner of Rensselaer, IN, Curt (Carol) Northcutt of Lafayette, IN, Carol (Mick) Martin of Brookston, IN, and Darrel (Sandy) Northcutt of Lafayette, IN; former wife, Mary (Carter) Northcutt of Chalmers, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Wayne Gratner.
