Jimmy H. Davis, 71, of Three Oaks, Michigan, died June 8, 2007 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.Jimmy was born in Truman, Arkansas on July 29, 1935 to James S. and Laura (Mae) Davis. He was a U.S. armed forces veteran having served in the Army. Jimmy retired in 1998 from Paltier Corporation, Michigan City, Indiana following a 40 year career as a welder, fork lift driver and metal fabricator.
He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and citizens band radio operator, known as “Razorback.”He was a member of American Legion, Post #297 of New Carlisle, Indiana.He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Joann Williams and a brother, Lloyd Davis.Survivors include his daughters, Linda K. (Joe Ballard) Reitz of Three Oaks and Brenda L. Davis of Buchanan, a granddaughter, Yonna L. Reitz and step-grandson, Trey Ballard and a brother, Julian Davis of Pocahontas, Arkansas. Also surviving is his companion, Sigrid Taylor and step-children, Mike Taylor of Yorkville, Illinois and Matt Taylor of Chicago; a very special friend, Mike Fullerton of Three Oaks.
