Jimmie Virgil Judy, 91, known by all as J.V., widower of Christine Reeves Judy, entered into eternal rest on Saturday afternoon, January 28, 2017 at the Veteran’s Victory House, Walterboro.

J.V. was born on June 25, 1925 a son of the late Leila Pearson and Jimmie Virgil Judy.  In his early years, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a World War II Veteran.  He was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church and a Mason.  He was a member of the Harmony Lodge #61 for 52 years and served as Past Master.  J.V. was founder and owner of Judy’s Mobile Homes from 1968 until he retired in January 2004.  J.V. was an avid sportsman and loved hunting and fishing.  He knew the value of one’s character and believed in the significance of helping his fellowman. 

Surviving are his two children; Dennis (Sarah) Judy, Branchville and Joan (Ricky) Brickle, Orangeburg; three grandchildren, Terri Judy and James Judy, Branchville and Gabriel Brickle, Charleston; two great-grandchildren, Rylan Miles and Lincoln Miles; two brothers, Marvin (Gloria) Judy, Ladson and Charles (Patricia) Judy, Orangeburg; two sisters, Ann Branning, Leesville and Zilla Connelly, Summerville and a large host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
