Jimmie Madison, known to many as “June,” was a native of Rockville, AL, and a resident of Jackson, AL, made his earthly transition Sunday, July 12, 2020. He was born June 6, 1936, to Jim Madison and Sarah Jackson Madison, he was 84 years of age.
He loved life and living but knew without a shadow of a doubt that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. “He now rests in the loving arms of his Savior. In his early years, he attended Christian Valley school of Rockville, AL. On July 7, 1956, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Rosie Lee Beck. He retired from Vanity Fair after many years of service.
He was a faithful member and deacon of Mt. Olive #1 Baptist Church of Rockville, AL, and a member of the Jackson Male Chorus. Before his failing health, his favorite pastime was having breakfast with “the group” at Pic-N-Sav and playing dominoes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Beck Madison; his children, Sylvia Elaine and Jimmy LaDell Madison and brother James Madison.
