Jimmie “Jim” Lynn Amberger, 75, of Salem, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, January 14, 2021, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born in Denver, Colorado on October 28, 1945, to Ed and Ruth (Ewing) Amberger.

Jim, his little sister Bethany, and their mother, relocated to Wild Cherry, Arkansas when Jim was 14years old. Jim grew up in Wild Cherry and Calico Rock and continues to have many friends in the area.

On December 12, 1970, the union of Jim Amberger and Diann Painter began and continued strong for 50 years. To this union three children were born and raised: Ken Allen, Randy Lynn, and Krista LeeAnn. Jim spent the majority of his adult life, after serving our country in the Vietnam War, as a truck driver. He sincerely loved driving a truck and was able to do what he loved for an employer that treated he and Diann like family until the end. Jim loved his family fiercely and his favorite activities were sitting on the porch with his kids and grandkids. He loved annoying his grandkids with “old” stories and loved being at as many of the grandkids’ activities as he could possibly be.
