Jimmie Howell, 76

Okeechobee – Jimmie Howell passed away November 24, 2021, in Ft. Pierce, Florida. He was born August 1, 1945, in West Palm Beach, Florida to Loys Elin Howell and Mary Jane (Kollester) Howell. A resident of Okeechobee for most of his life and a true pioneer, he was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Past President of the Fort Kissimmee Cemetery Association, and Past Secretary of the Okeechobee Airboat Association. He was a 4H leader with his wife for Steak and Chops for 18 years. He was an auctioneer for twenty years at the Fairchild Tropical Auction Gardens.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve Howell, Sr., and Butch Howell.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Howell, of Okeechobee; sons, Kevin (Kelly) Howell, of Lorida, and Fred Evans, of Orlando; daughters, Cheryl Howell, of Polk County, and Corinna (Belinda) Whisman, of Okeechobee; seven grandchildren, Colby, Dallon, Blake, Logan, Ivy, Jillian, and Dillon; two great-grandchildren, Stormi and Paislie; numerous nieces and nephews, and many neighborhood kids that he saw as his own that called him Grandpa.
