He was born December 31, 1935 in Burkesville, Kentucky, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in this area for over 50 years.
He retired from Braodway Beverage. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, was an avid NASCAR and Dale Ernhart fan.
He loved to fish, enjoyed watching his grandchildren play baseball and spend time with all his family.
He is survived by his daughter: Kim & husband Tim Gladney of Anderson. Mother: Albina Scott Garrett of Daleville. Two Sisters: Emma Scott of Anderson. Roberta Glotzbach of Anderson. Brother-in-law: George Scott. Five Grandchildren: Bree & husband Darrin Emerton, Justin & wife Kelli Symmes, Brittney Gladney, Lynnsey Cox-Garrett and Travis Gladney. Four Great Grandchildren: Blake Emerton, Brock Emerton, Brayden Emerton & Maddy D. Symmes. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Gloria Turner Garrett whom he married September 28, 1956. Son: Kevin Garrett. Brother: Harold Garrett. Father: Delmer Garrett.
