Jimmie Clinton Lemon was born December 8, 1936 in Chariton, Iowa to Farrell Dorn and Cecelia Ilene (Dovenspike) Lemon.
He spent all but the last seven years in and around the Chariton area.
After a brave and courageous battle he left us on June 21, 2013 at 76 years.
He graduated from Chariton High School in 1955.
He worked at many jobs as he was growing up.
He was in the national Guard for 6 years.
He drove a semi for Brenaman and son for several years.
He drove for Russell Produce.
He was hired on at Johnson Machine Works and stayed there for many years until he retired.
He married Bobby Ann Clyde in 1960 to this union one daughter, Dawn Renae was born.
After the divorce in 1962, he met and married Jewell Brown on December 22, 1963.
To this union two children were born Jimmie Clinton Lemon and Mary Janelle Lemon.
He loved many things in his life but first and foremost was his family.
He really enjoyed his buckskining when time and money allowed.
He loved to play practical jokes on any unsuspecting relative or friend.
Later in life he discovered he loved working with wood.
He made his family many beautiful things he had created.
They will be treasured.
He made and sold many unique knives.
He had a beautiful voice and loved to sing and play his guitar.
He might not have left much of a footprint on this world but he left loving footprints all over the hearts of those who loved him.
Preceding him in death were his mom and dad, a sister Norma Pottoroff; a very close friend and cousin, Charles Dovenspike, his first wife and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
I know my Otasota is walking in heaven with all the mountain men that went before him and is happy.
We will miss him forever.
