Jim Henry Currier of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born March 29, 1928 in Altus, Arkansas to Harrison Currier and Lula V. (Chambers) Currier. He was 90 years old. Jim was a longtime member of the Waldron First Baptist Church. He was actively involved and served as a deacon.

Jim was a hard worker and had a vast array of knowledge in many occupations throughout his working years, He worked for the KCS Railroad and Arkansas Valley Electric in Waldron before moving to Pasadena, Texas where he worked for Ethel returned to Waldron to start Currier Bros. Butane Co. Later he opened Ben Franklin in Waldron and after many years began selling real estate for McMellon Realty as well as doing appraisals for the Bank of Waldron. He was a member of the Waldron City Council and also on the Bank of Waldron, Board of Directors. Jim was a devoted family man. He loved his family and cherished time spent with them.

Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory, one daughter, Sharon Rice of Waldron, Arkansas and one granddaughter, Jennifer London and husband Jack as well as two great granddaughters, Hannah and will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted including a host of extended family, friends and neighbors dear to him.

Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife Nada Lee (Evans) Currier, his mother, Lula Currier, two brothers, Harrison and Bill Currier and two nieces Greta Newman and Donna Currier.

Jim’s life celebration will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 208 at the Waldron First Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas with Jack London and Dr.
