Jill Renee Heckard, 57, of Anderson, passed away on February 1, 2021, at her residence. She was born on March 31, 1963, in Richmond, and resided most of her life in Anderson.
Jill graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, and she was an Educator and Teacher’s Aide at several of the local schools in Anderson.
Jill is survived by her husband, Tim Heckard; son, Ted Messenger Heckard; siblings, Lyle Alan (Jane) Messenger, Peggy (Kerry) Messenger-Weis, Julie (Joel) Leviner; her mother, Ora Lee (Barnett) Messenger; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, David Custer Heckard; mother-in-law, Dorothy Heckard; father, Harold Messenger; and her brother-in-law, Ted David Heckard.
