Jill Anjanette Hoy Bauman was born in Washington, Iowa on July 24, 1969 to Dr. Gene Wilbur and Linda (Gurney) Hoy. She grew up in Richland, Iowa. She graduated from Pekin High School at Packwood and then attended Central College in Pella. While at Central she worked as a manager for the football and basketball teams. She held various positions with different companies after graduation from Central.
Jill marred Dwaine Anthony Bauman in Richland on March 5, 1994. They moved from the Hoy home place near Bussey to Pella in 2001.
Jill had many talents and was always willing to share them with others.
Jill was an organ recipient in 2002 and gave several inspirational talks with her mother about the organ donor program. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2006.
Jill is survived by her husband Dwaine, and Mommy to Dalton Dwaine. She is also survived by her parents Gene and Linda Hoy; her brothers and their spouses: Michael Dean and Michelle, David Gene and Amber, and Daniel Howard and his fiancé Regina; her nieces and nephews: Andrea and Erica Hoy, and Adam, Cooper, and Jacob Hoy; her grandmother Virginia Hoy; and Dwaine’s parents Roger and Diana Bauman. Jill is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jeff and Crystal Bauman, and Jody and Tom Mathes; her nephews: Logan and Landon Mathes, and Seth Bauman. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, and cousins who were very special to her. She was dearly loved by her relatives and many friends.
