Jewell Kachelhoffer, 83, of Freeport, died Friday, October 6, 2006 at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born December 15, 1922 in Greeley, Colorado, she was the daughter of H.W. “Toby” and Lillian (Ackerman) Lieber. She married Ferdinand “Freddie” Weipert on February 11, 1946 and he died February 2, 1958. She married Carl B. Thompson on September 26, 1967 and he died October 4, 1972. On June 23, 1977 she married John R. Kachelhoffer and he died January 25, 1981.
Surviving is her daughter, Deanna A. Weipert Lieber of Freeport; her sister, Janice Hamon of Peoria; 1 grandson, William W. (Cheryl) Lieber of Freeport; 1 granddaughter, Rebecca J. (Jake) Lieber-Jacobs of Freeport; 3 great grandchildren, Brynn Lieber of Dubuque, Iowa, Brandon Lieber and Adam Jacobs both of Freeport; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; 3 brothers, Lincoln, William, and infant Wayne Lieber.
