Jewell L. Gwinn George, 99, Chesterfield, passed away March 16, 2012 at Millers Merry Manor-Chesterfield after a brief illness.
She was born December 17, 1912 in Anderson, and resided in Madison County all of her life. Mrs. George was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Margie McClain-Richardson Jim of Nashville, Indiana; granddaughter, Linda O’Neal Frank of Anderson; two great granddaughters, Sara Richardson Chris of Anderson and Amber Cline Wallace Dan of Anderson; step granddaughter, April Selg Marc of Anderson; seven great great grandchildren, Tyler Bouse, Jordy Bouse, Cooper Bouse, Jewell Cline, Bailey Wallace, Kenady Wallace and Marc Selg Jr.; and nephew, Wayne Clore Janice of Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert George in February 1997; parents, Clarence & Bessie Pettigrew Gwinn; sister, Margaret Clore; and niece, Judi Clore. Special thanks to the staff and residents of Miller’s Merry Manor-Chesterfield, who was like family to her.
