Jewell Joseph Shelton, 70, Anderson, died February 21, 2003 at I.U. Med Center after a brief illness. He was born April 11, 1932 in Beech Grove, IN, and resided in Anderson since 1964. He was a manager with PPG Industries, retiring in 1988 after 37 yrs of service, also worked at Every Day Paint & Wallpaper in Indianapolis, retiring in 1994 and in addition, he worked part-time at Marsh Supermarket in Indianapolis He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1951-1954 He enjoyed fishing and Bingo He is survived by his Wife of 48 yrs., Lou J. Bundy Shelton, two sons, Raymond J wife, Leigh Shelton of Indianapolis, IN & Michael L. wife, Lisa Shelton, of Anderson; brother, Wayne wife, Gladys Shelton of New Whiteland, IN; two sisters, Wilma McKey of New Whiteland, IN and Marie Jameson of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren, Samantha Baker, Linzi Shelton, Rebecca Shelton, Tate Shelton & Taylor Shelton; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, Ivan & Nettie Lamb Shelton.
