Jewell W. Alford, age 89, formerly of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on February 13, 2017 at Otterbein Hospice in Lebanon, Ohio.
Jewell was born on January 24, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, to William and Myrtis (Stireman) Alford.
Jewel was a graduate of the University of Michigan and also held a law degree. He was a US Navy Veteran and served in WW2.
Jewell was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was also a Mason of the 33rd degree.
Jewell is survived by his son, Darwin D. Alford of Maineville, Ohio.
Jewell was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Betty (Richmond) Alford.
